" Bespoke, beautiful, by hand, to share and treasure.
From fabrics old and fabrics new, some inherited and gifted too."
Established in 2021 by Joanne Pascall, Little House of Jo Jo is a calm and considered studio, based on the Sapphire Coast of New South Wales.
Here, Joanne handcrafts bespoke lampshades, embroidered napkins and textile art pieces - objects designed to soften light, dress a table and be cherished.
Each piece is created with meticulous attention to detail, using quality fabrics, time-honoured techniques and distinctive colour pairings.
MY STORY
Joanne has always created.
Her love of fabric and thread - and the enduring satisfaction of making by hand is an inheritance.
Guided by her Aunt, a milliner and Head Teacher of Textiles & Design, Joanne spent her school holidays immersed in traditional garment construction and embroidery. Her maternal grandfather worked with Singer sewing machines in the 1960s, and her grandmother was a talented embroiderer and dressmaker. Making runs in the family.
With formal qualifications in business management, marketing and human resources, Joanne spent over a decade living and working in the United Kingdom, followed by time in France. Travelling regularly throughout Europe deepened her appreciation for art, textiles, fashion and architecture - and the enduring elegance found in detail.
Returning to Australia in 2014, Joanne and her husband settled in a small regional community on the Far South Coast, establishing a successful raspberry farm supplying local cafés, restaurants and families.
In 2023, Joanne completed a Certificate III in Applied Fashion Design and Technology, fulfilling a long-held ambition to formalise her training in textiles.
Today, she has established her practice as a contemporary maker, creating refined hand-stitched embroideries and textile objects designed to bring beauty, warmth and individuality into the home or place.

“Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.”
William Morris, 1880
